World & Lore
Keldrion is not a physical realm. It is a stable Dreamworld — an entire reality that exists somewhere beyond waking life, persistent and self-sustaining. No one has solved the mystery of why it exists, who created it, or what keeps it running. Scholars, mages, and explorers have theories, but the Dreamworld has never yielded an answer.
You do not create a character in Keldrion. You arrive. Through a sci-fantasy process called Polymorph, your consciousness is bound to the soul of someone who already exists inside the dream — a fully formed adult with memories, skills, and a life already in progress. When the binding completes, you simply wake up in a tavern as if nothing unusual happened. You are a functioning adult with a past you did not live and a future you will now shape.
This is why you always start in a tavern, and why no tutorial or childhood sequence exists. You are stepping into a life mid-stream — the dreams of another, now yours to inhabit. Every player is a soul-bound traveler. Every death in Keldrion is real to the one who experiences it. When you fall, someone else walks away with everything you were carrying.
